- The website you want in the MetaTrader terminal must be owned by the applying company.
- It must be secure (HTTPS) and fully operational, not a placeholder page.
- Six items are mandatory: company name, registered address, physical address, contact details, risk warning and jurisdiction disclaimer.
- Every detail must match your corporate documents exactly.
Why MetaQuotes checks your website
Your website is displayed inside the MetaTrader 5 terminal, so it effectively becomes part of the platform your clients see. MetaQuotes therefore treats it as a compliance document. A site that hides who operates it, does not warn about risk, or does not say which markets it serves is a red flag, and it is one of the most common reasons an otherwise complete application stalls.
Proving domain ownership
MetaQuotes asks for confirmation that the company, not a founder personally and not a developer, owns the domain. Accepted evidence includes:
- an invoice from the domain registrar or hosting provider issued to the company;
- a certificate from the provider;
- a screenshot of the provider account profile showing the company as owner.
Tip: if the domain was registered by an individual or an agency, transfer it into the company's name before you apply.
The six mandatory content items
- Full company name, exactly as it appears on the Certificate of Incorporation, including "Ltd", "Inc" or similar.
- Full registered address, which is the registered agent's office address shown in your corporate documents.
- Full physical/business address, the real operating address, which must match your proof of physical address.
- Contact details: an email address or contact form and a contact telephone number.
- Risk warning: a clear statement that trading leveraged products such as forex and CFDs carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors.
- Jurisdiction disclaimer: which countries you do and do not offer services to. For a Saint Lucia IBC, this typically includes Saint Lucia residents, the US and other restricted markets.
Put the company name, addresses, risk warning and jurisdiction disclaimer in the footer of every page so they are impossible to miss.
Technical expectations
- A valid SSL certificate (HTTPS) on every page.
- No "coming soon" or template placeholder pages.
- Working links to your legal documents (terms, privacy, risk disclosure).
- Contact channels that actually work, since MetaQuotes may test them.
Common mistakes
- Using a brand name on the site without ever mentioning the legal entity.
- Showing only the registered agent's address and no physical address.
- Listing a different address format than the corporate documents.
- A risk warning hidden on a separate page instead of being clearly visible.
- Claiming to be "regulated" when the company is not licensed. Never do this.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a free website builder?
Yes, as long as the site is on your own domain, secured with HTTPS and contains all the required information. The platform matters less than the content and ownership.
Does the website need to be in English?
MetaQuotes reviews applications in English, so the required legal information should at least be available in English, even if you also offer other languages.
