Prop Trading Firms

Bring MT5 back to your prop firm with your own license

Since 2024, prop firms without a direct MetaQuotes agreement have lost MetaTrader access. Traders want MT5 back. We set up the Saint Lucia entity and document pack that successful firms have used to apply directly.

  • Entity with trading & financial services objects
  • MetaQuotes document pack
  • Confidential, fast turnaround
  • Guidance on excluded markets
In short

Several prop trading firms restored MT5 in 2025 by incorporating in Saint Lucia and licensing directly from MetaQuotes. A prop firm needs its own entity with financial services objects, a legal opinion, consistent UBO records, a bank or PSP letter and a compliant website.

Context

What changed for prop firms and how firms are responding

In February 2024, MetaQuotes began cutting off platform access for prop trading firms that used MetaTrader through third-party brokers or white labels without a direct relationship, especially firms serving US traders. Many firms moved to alternative platforms, but a large share of traders still prefer MT5.

Through 2025, several well-known prop firms publicly announced that MT5 was back after they incorporated entities in Saint Lucia and obtained licenses directly from MetaQuotes. The formula is simple to describe and hard to do well: a clean legal entity, clear ownership, credible compliance documents and a business model that excludes restricted markets.

Prop firm FAQ

Can a prop firm get an MT5 license in its own name?

Yes. Several prop firms have publicly confirmed direct MT5 licenses since 2025. MetaQuotes assesses each applicant on its own merits: the entity, the owners, the business model and the markets served.

Can we keep serving US traders?

MetaQuotes has specifically restricted MetaTrader access for US-facing prop activity. Most firms that regained MT5 did so for non-US traders only. Your terms, website and onboarding must be consistent on this point.

We already have a company elsewhere. Do we need a new one?

Not necessarily. Many groups keep their existing company for marketing or technology and use the Saint Lucia entity to hold the platform license and trader contracts. We will look at your current structure in the consultation.
